The problem of viruses in agriculture
The problem of viruses is one of the most serious
ones affecting modern agriculture, determining plant withering,
reductions of productivity and imperfect products of poor quality
which will then be declassified on the final market.
Viruses do not have the mechanisms to reproduce, so they need other
vectors in order to spread, the most important of which are insects.
It is above all the places where ornamental plants, flowers and
fruit trees are cultivated which guarantee optimal climatic conditions
for the productions, offering simultaneously the best protection
against parasites, so that insects, aphids, mites and other virus
vectors may increase up to 10 times their development potential
compared to field cropping.
